A Cut Above Glass fabricates its frameless shower enclosures in a choice of five glass finishes — clear, Starphire low-iron glass, bubble, rain, and satin etch tempered — and cuts each panel to either 3/8-inch or 1/2-inch thickness depending on the size and structural demands of the opening. That range lets the shop match a panel’s privacy level and light transmission to a specific bathroom rather than offering one standard glass type across every job.

The company has operated in Scottsdale since 2002 and holds Arizona contractor’s license C-65 #176572, a specialty classification covering glass and glazing work. Its shop at 28628 N 78th Street serves a cluster of North Scottsdale and Carefree-area communities, including Cave Creek, Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Rio Verde, Desert Ridge and Troon, in addition to Scottsdale itself and Phoenix.

For a quote, the company will work from a photo of the existing shower space sent by phone or email and return a free estimate without requiring an in-person visit first, though final measurements are still taken on site before fabrication begins. From that measurement appointment, the company states installation typically follows four to six working days later. Once a panel is installed, A Cut Above Glass says it guarantees its products and asks customers to contact the shop directly with questions about that coverage rather than routing them through a separate warranty process.

The business keeps standard hours of 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on weekdays, with Saturday appointments available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., a schedule built to accommodate both trade referrals from contractors and homeowners scheduling around a workweek. Between the glass-type selection, the license classification specific to glazing work, and the photo-based estimating process, the shop’s operation is set up around custom fabrication rather than stocking a fixed set of pre-made enclosure sizes.
