Acelab

Acelab is a New York construction technology company that builds Material Hub, a cloud platform architects, owners and manufacturers use to research, specify and track building products. Architectural designers Vardhan Mehta and Dries Carmeliet started the company in 2019 after seeing how many hours design teams lost hunting for product information. The platform plugs into Revit and covers product discovery, specifications, sustainability checks, RFIs, approvals and as-built records. Acelab says its database spans more than 250,000 products from over 10,000 brands, and that its network reaches more than 20,000 design firms and manufacturers. It raised a $13.5 million Series A in October 2025. On Sept. 30, 2026, the 46-firm Innovative Design Consortium named Acelab co-development partner for its first open materials data standard.
