Profamily Roofing Group

Project timing often begins with an inspection, followed by a written scope that sequences tear-off, decking checks, and dry-in steps to protect the structure if weather shifts. A roofing company in McAllen may recommend GAF asphalt shingles or metal panels based on roof pitch, shade patterns, and long-term maintenance expectations. Crews stage materials so underlayment, leak barriers, and ridge caps are installed in the proper order for ventilation and water shedding. For properties with solar arrays, careful removal and reinstallation are scheduled to align with the roofing timeline. Commercial and HOA projects typically include access planning and communication with on-site managers to reduce disruptions. Profamily Roofing Group supports replacements and new installations for area homes and businesses and provides storm and hail damage assessments when needed. Contractors serving regional neighborhoods often work across similar building styles, which helps standardize flashing details and fastener choices. Localized planning from Mission to Pharr, TX accounts for sun exposure, prevailing winds, and seasonal rain patterns.

Victor Guerra started Profamily Roofing Group in 2019 and runs it out of a showroom on North Cage Boulevard in Pharr. The company says more than 500 roofs have been completed since, and that over seventy percent of new work still arrives by word of mouth rather than advertising.

The credential that matters most here is GAF Master Elite, which Profamily states it is the only holder of in the Rio Grande Valley. The practical effect for a homeowner is access to GAF’s Golden Pledge Limited Warranty, fifty years on materials and up to twenty-five on workmanship, with the workmanship portion backed by GAF rather than by the contractor, so it survives if the company ever stops trading. The firm also holds GAF Certified Plus.

Two parts of the service list are worth singling out. Solar panel removal and reinstallation is run as its own line rather than pushed back onto the homeowner to coordinate with a separate solar contractor, which is a common sticking point on re-roofs here. And a separate business and HOA track is built around access planning and coordination with on-site property managers, aimed at limiting disruption to tenants and guests while work is underway.

Financing is a core part of the pitch rather than an afterthought: zero down, zero percent APR options, same-day approval, and stated options for buyers with poor or no credit history. Roof inspections are free.

Coverage runs across both Hidalgo and Cameron counties, including McAllen, Edinburg, Mission, Weslaco, San Juan, Harlingen and Brownsville, and out to South Padre Island, Port Isabel and the Laguna communities. The company also runs a community giving program it calls Profamily Cares, and says its replacement crews have been with it since the beginning.
