Northeast Basement Solutions works from 1 Horne St. in Haverhill and describes its crews as having spent more than twenty years drying out New England basements. The company frames the work as turnkey: the same team that stops the water can also finish the room afterward.

Water control is the technical core. Drainage options are broken into interior perimeter systems, French drains, footing drains, entryway drainage, downspout extensions, and repair of frozen discharge lines, a New Hampshire and Massachusetts problem that quietly disables an otherwise healthy system every winter. Sump pump work covers new installation, repair, replacement, sump pit construction and repair, secondary pumps, battery backups, battery replacement, and scheduled maintenance. Zoeller is the pump brand called out by name.

Wall and floor systems are handled as separate disciplines depending on what the foundation is made of. The company details approaches for poured concrete wall covers, concrete block walls, and uneven stone walls, the last being the hard case in older Merrimack Valley and Seacoast housing stock. A dedicated basement floor system and moisture control line covers dehumidifiers, humidity control, and indoor air quality.

Crawl spaces get their own full track: encapsulation with vapor barriers, sealing, ventilation to code requirements, dehumidification, mold in crawl space wood and insulation, drainage, crawl space sump pumps, access panel replacement, doors, and garage access points.

Once the space is dry, finishing takes over. Egress windows, basement windows, Bilco doors, ceilings, walls, doors, insulation, and new flooring turn a mechanical fix into livable square footage.

The published service area is genuinely large and spans two states. In Massachusetts it includes Haverhill, Lowell, Andover, North Andover, Methuen, Newburyport, Beverly, Georgetown, Groveland, Tewksbury, Chelmsford, Billerica, Danvers, Ipswich, Topsfield, Wenham, Reading, Woburn, Wakefield, Winchester, Concord, Acton, and Lexington. In New Hampshire it reaches Portsmouth, Rye, Exeter, Dover, Durham, Hampton, Seabrook, Salem, Derry, Londonderry, Windham, Nashua, Manchester, Merrimack, Hudson, Epping, Raymond, Stratham, and Greenland.

Three commercial terms stand out. Estimates are free and the company states they carry no hidden costs. Waterproofing systems carry a transferable lifetime warranty, which survives a sale of the house and is worth real money at closing. And although the office runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, emergency service is posted as available 24 hours a day, every day of the week, including weekends when the office itself is closed. The company also says it will work directly with a homeowner’s insurer to simplify a claim.
