Owner Mike leads North Wood’s Roofing with nearly two decades in the trade, including building two prior roofing companies before starting this one alongside his wife Katie. The company is veteran-owned, and Mike says he doesn’t believe in pressure sales or cutting corners — just honest pricing and treating homeowners like neighbors.

North Wood’s Roofing is a GAF-certified contractor, meaning the shingle and metal roofs they install are backed by manufacturer-grade material standards rather than off-brand substitutes. The company holds Florida license CCC1335501 and carries insurance on every job. Roofing work is backed by warranties, and financing is available for homeowners who need to spread out the cost of a replacement.

Beyond the roof itself, the crew handles roof tune-ups for maintenance between full replacements, along with straightforward repair work for leaks and storm damage. Free, honest inspections come with clear photos so homeowners can see exactly what’s being recommended and why, without upsells.

The company works out of Gainesville and covers Live Oak, Lake City, and the surrounding North Florida communities, an area where materials need to stand up to heat, humidity, and hurricane-season storms. That regional focus shows up in how the team talks about their work — durable, North Florida-tested products chosen for the local climate rather than generic building-supply defaults.

Customers who’ve left reviews describe a crew that shows up on time and communicates clearly through the process, from the first estimate to the finished roof. For a company still building its reputation under its current name, referrals and repeat business matter as much to Mike as any single sale. Homeowners considering a shingle or metal replacement can request an instant online estimate through the site, or call directly to talk through options before committing to anything.
