The Haskins family founded this company in Santa Monica in 1947, on a straightforward premise: personalised service and quality craftsmanship at a fair price. Nearly eight decades later it is still working the same coastline.

The name is newer than the business. Ramey Roofing became Economy Roofing — new name, same company — and Supreme Roofing Co. has since merged into it. New structure, same people. Anyone who worked with either of those firms is dealing with the same crews.

The flat and low-slope side is where the technical range shows: modified bitumen, thermoplastic membranes and roof coating systems sit alongside the steep-slope work in shingle, metal and tile. That mix matters in this market, where a single property can carry a tile front elevation and a flat rear addition.

Coverage runs from Santa Monica through West LA, Culver City and Marina del Rey, down the coast into El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance and Palos Verdes, and inland to Beverly Hills and greater Los Angeles.

The company is licensed and insured, offers financing, and makes a point of how it treats its own employees — its stated reason for the standard of work it can deliver. Residential and commercial customers both, with repair and maintenance and roof inspections available alongside full replacement.

Given the age of much of the housing stock in these neighbourhoods, the useful first step is usually an inspection that distinguishes between a failing membrane and failed flashing details. The second is far cheaper to fix.
