Five Star Improvements has run out of Rochester since 2005 and now works two offices. The Rochester base is at 145 Norris Dr., Rochester, NY 14610 on 585-256-1844; the Syracuse-area operation is at 14B James Place, Bernhards Bay, NY 13028 on 315-748-5016, covering towns including Camillus, Manlius, Fayetteville, Baldwinsville, Marcellus and Cicero.

The manufacturer credentials are the useful signal here. Owens Corning Platinum Preferred is the top tier of that program, and the company is also a Marvin Authorized Replacement Contractor and a VELUX 3 Star Skylight Specialist, alongside James Hardie products and an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

That mix shows up in the material range. Roofing covers asphalt shingle, metal, wood shake, flat and EPDM rubber. Windows come in vinyl, fiberglass, aluminum and wood. Siding is offered in vinyl, fiber cement and wood — so specification is not limited to one product line per trade.

Roof-adjacent work is handled in-house too: gutters, skylight installation, and attic and roof ventilation, which is usually where a shingle warranty claim goes wrong if nobody checks it.

Two lines sit outside the exterior work. There is a dedicated Jacuzzi Bath Remodel division, and separate commercial roofing and commercial siding groups.

On cost, the company promotes financing for qualifying homeowners and advertises 10% off roof replacement with $0 down and 0% interest for five years. Projects start with a free in-home consultation, which is where scope and financing get worked out together.

Western New York coverage names Rochester, Pittsford, Brighton, Greece, Irondequoit, Henrietta, Webster, Canandaigua, Geneva, Brockport, Palmyra, Marion, Williamson and Newark.
