Related Companies is one of the most active private real estate developers in the United States, based in New York and led by Stephen Ross. The firm is behind large mixed-use developments including Hudson Yards in Manhattan, along with office, residential, and retail projects nationwide. Related is developing 625 Madison Avenue, the first ground-up office tower in Manhattan’s Plaza District in more than three decades, in partnership with Andrew Mathias and designed by Foster + Partners. Related Companies started in 1972 when Stephen Ross launched it with a focus on affordable housing, a business line the firm still leads as the largest private owner of affordable housing in the country.
