Oak View Group

Oak View Group is a Denver-based venue development and hospitality company that finances, develops and operates arenas and stadiums, largely on private capital rather than public subsidy. Its highest-profile European project is Co-op Live in Manchester, developed with City Football Group and opened in May 2024, which at 23,500 capacity is the largest indoor arena in the United Kingdom. That building is carried on a 100-metre clear-span roof with trusses each rated for about 30 tonnes of rigging, erected from inside the arena footprint because the site was too tight to crane steel in from outside. The project also became a case study in commissioning risk after a power-supply failure at a test event delayed opening.

Global headquarters is 5050 South Syracuse Street, Suite 800, in Denver, with further offices in New York, London, Madrid, Abu Dhabi, Austin, Toronto and Mexico City.

The company is not a contractor and does not present itself as one. It develops venues and then operates them, which is a different position in the supply chain: it commissions construction, and its interest in a building continues long after handover because it will be running the concessions, booking the calendar and managing the parking.

That integration is the whole proposition. Venue development sits alongside venue management, hospitality, global partnerships covering sponsorship and naming rights, sustainability consulting, booking and content, parking and mobility, security, and data and technology. Hospitality runs through two named businesses, Rhubarb and Spectrum Catering. The company’s stated method is to use operating data from the venues it runs to inform what it develops next, a feedback loop unavailable to a developer who sells the building on completion.

Leadership is Chris Granger as chief executive, with Amy Latimer as chief business officer, Ade Patton as chief financial officer, and Steve Collins as president of global venue development.

Current North American work shows the scale range. A 250 million dollar, 10,500-seat arena in Augusta, Georgia is tracking to a summer 2027 opening, and a 159 million dollar convention center is underway at New Caney, Texas. A mid-size arena and a convention center are different building types with different revenue models, and the company develops both.

The group publishes a modern slavery statement covering its UK and European operations, a reporting obligation that follows from running venues on both sides of the Atlantic.
