ArborVantage Tree Care

At ArborVantage Tree Care, we’re a small, family-owned business that proudly serves  Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin and surrounding cities and communities. ArborVantage Tree Care was founded in 2008. Steve Hollar and his wife, Ashley, own and operate ArborVantage Tree Care along with our talented and experienced team.

The equipment list is the most telling thing about this outfit, because it explains what kinds of trees it can actually get to.

A tracked spider lift is the centerpiece. It reaches 90 feet and squeezes through an opening as narrow as 36 inches, which is the difference between reaching a backyard tree and telling a homeowner it cannot be done without taking out a fence section. A 60-foot bucket truck handles the more accessible work. Both exist for a specific reason the company states plainly: to cut down how much the arborists have to climb.

Lawn damage gets the same attention. AlturnaMATS ground protection goes down over turf, loaders are kept lightweight, and a grapple truck handles loading and hauling brush and wood — which also keeps crew hands away from the chipper. Jobs are scheduled around time of year, weather and how saturated the ground is, so a removal that would rut a yard in April may be held until it will not.

Stump work runs through a Carlton grinder and goes past the stump itself to the root flare. The debris is hauled off and the hole backfilled with topsoil and lawn seed, so the job ends with a seeded patch rather than a crater full of chips.

Plant healthcare is narrower and more specialized: emerald ash borer treatment is the stated specialty. Most treatments are injected as a liquid straight into the tree rather than sprayed, which is why children and pets can be around the tree after an application, and a single treatment typically holds for about two years. The season starts after Memorial Day, once trees have filled out with foliage. Pricing tracks the specific pest or disease, the tree’s size and species, and how far the problem has already spread.

Work can be scoped a la carte, from a single service call to an ongoing maintenance plan, and an ISA Certified Arborist credential sits behind the recommendations.

Coverage runs across twenty central Wisconsin communities, from Edgar and Stratford in the north down through Marshfield, Stevens Point, Plover and Wisconsin Rapids to Neillsville and Granton.

Accounts and payments run through a SingleOps client portal. Hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Locally, the company backs veteran banners, parks, school sports, scholarships and youth organizations.
