Limbach Holdings, Inc.

Limbach Holdings is a mechanical contractor and building systems specialist that has shifted much of its business away from general contractor subcontracts and toward direct relationships with building owners. The company traces to 1901, trades on Nasdaq under LMB, and registers its principal executive offices in Tampa, Florida while retaining a large Pittsburgh operation and offices across the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Southeast and Southwest. Its work covers mechanical construction, HVAC, plumbing, process piping and building controls, along with a growing service, maintenance and capital-retrofit book aimed at healthcare systems, data centers, higher education, industrial manufacturing and life sciences owners. That owner-direct strategy is the firm’s stated differentiator: rather than bidding new construction packages, Limbach targets recurring mechanical work inside buildings it already services.

Limbach markets itself around eight named solutions rather than around trades, which is the tell that the owner-direct strategy runs deeper than positioning. Integrated facility planning leads the list, followed by maintenance, repairs, replacements and retrofits; rental equipment; MEPC infrastructure upgrades; offsite construction and prefabrication; custom HVAC systems; energy efficiency; and decarbonization solutions. Rental equipment is an unusual line for a mechanical contractor and only makes sense in an owner relationship, where a chiller or boiler outage has to be bridged before a capital replacement can be scheduled.

Six markets are named: healthcare, industrial and manufacturing, data centers, life sciences, higher education, and cultural and entertainment. Data centers carry two dedicated sub-offerings, modular construction for data centers and modular air handlers, which sit alongside the general prefabrication capability.

Scale as published: 22 locations, more than 1,600 people, and a 125th anniversary marked in 2026 against the 1901 founding date the company also uses to name its blog. The framing is local service backed by national resources, with regional teams drawing on a shared technical bench.

Project references on the site sit across all three of its main markets: third-party verification work under the Building Energy Performance Standards at George Washington University in Washington DC, the HCA Florida Palmetto emergency facility in Palmetto, Florida, and a confidential hyperscaler design-build.

The company trades on Nasdaq as LMB and publishes quarterly results alongside investor materials, including its second quarter 2026 earnings update. It runs an active mergers and acquisitions program with a standing partner enquiry channel. Outside financial reporting it publishes The 1901 Blog and the Limbach Unlocked podcast, and has been named by U.S. News & World Report among the best companies to work for.
