Handy Squad Home Services

Handy Squad Home Services, Inc. is the premier handyman service in Rockport, TX, offering a wide range of services including attic ladders, carpentry and woodworking, caulking, ceiling fan installation, commercial property maintenance, concrete work, countertops, door repairs and installations, decking, and much more. Serving Corpus Christi, Portland, Rockport, Fulton, Ingleside, Port Aransas, Aransas Pass, and the surrounding coastal Bend area. Our team of skilled professionals are dedicated to providing top-notch craftsmanship and exceptional customer service.

Handy Squad Home Services runs from two bases. The original office sits on Kotzebue Street in San Antonio; the Coastal Bend branch works from Harbor Drive in Rockport and covers the shoreline communities around it. Each location keeps its own phone line, and the Rockport crew adds Gregory, Padre Island and Flour Bluff to the towns already listed.

The business was founded by Keith and Heather Schmidt, who bring more than a decade in the service industry to it. Handy Squad describes its field technicians as licensed and insured craftsmen, carries insurance coverage up to two million dollars, and backs every job with a one-year guarantee. All major credit cards are accepted, and estimates are free through a phone call or an online request form.

The service list reaches well past the carpentry and repair work most handyman firms advertise. Beyond doors, decking and countertops, the crew installs blown-in attic insulation, cleans and seals air ducts, clears dryer vents, mounts televisions, and sets up smart thermostats, video doorbells, outdoor cameras and smart locks. Pressure washing, soft washing and roof cleaning are handled in house, as are window cleaning, junk and trash hauling, rot repair, gate repair, tiling, trim carpentry, drywall patching and fencing.

One scheduling point is worth noting for anyone weighing a handyman against separate specialist trades. Handy Squad is set up to bundle several unrelated tasks into one visit rather than booking an appointment for each. That fits punch lists and post-inspection repair items, which the company treats as their own service category, along with general property maintenance for commercial buildings.

The Coastal Bend is hard on building materials. Salt air, humidity and storm exposure drive much of the demand for rot repair, caulking, exterior painting and pressure washing that features prominently on the Rockport page. The firm publishes illustrated project write-ups with before-and-after photographs, including shed repair and repainting work completed in the San Antonio suburbs, and maintains review pages on both Google and Facebook.
