Chad Sichello founded Fix It Pros after more than thirty years in construction, a stretch that included running projects in twenty countries for Fortune 500 clients. The company he built in the Lower Mainland is the opposite end of that scale: a residential and commercial maintenance outfit that will hang a door, replace a section of rotten fascia, or take on a full renovation.

The commercial terms are published in more detail than most trades bother with, and they are the reason to read the listing. Ad hoc projects carry a $179 assessment fee — $358 evenings and weekends — credited back against the final invoice if the work goes ahead. That structure filters out free-quote shopping and means the assessment itself is a paid piece of work. Insurance runs to $5M general liability and $2M auto. Labour is employees rather than subcontractors, background-checked and drug-free. All work carries a one-year labour guarantee, and the business operates under Intermunicipal Business Licence #24-111427-01.

The service list is genuinely long: carpentry and trim, drywall, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs, flooring, tiling, cabinets and countertops, doors and windows, decking and fencing, gutters, siding and roof repairs, rot repair, pressure washing, caulking, TV mounting, furniture assembly, smart home installation, attic ladders and assisted-living modifications. Recent projects include a commercial restroom renovation in Vancouver, a whole-home renovation in Langley, a waterfront gutter replacement in North Vancouver and custom lab cabinetry at UBC.

Two operating habits show up repeatedly on the site. Crews wear boot coverings and leave the workspace tidy. And the values are stated as three words — cheerful, can-do, candid — with candid carrying real weight for a handyman business, where the honest answer is often that a repair is not worth doing.

Coverage reaches across Metro Vancouver: Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, the Tri-Cities, the North Shore, Richmond and Steveston, Delta and Tsawwassen, Surrey, Cloverdale, White Rock, Langley, Fort Langley, Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, plus UBC and the University Endowment Lands.

One note: the business is shifting toward a subscription home-maintenance service branded Beacon Homes, which now appears across the site. One-time projects are still taken. The entry point for new clients is a free home walk-through rather than a phone quote.
