Swinerton

Swinerton is an employee-owned general contractor founded in 1888 and headquartered in San Francisco, one of the oldest continuously operating builders in the western United States. With several thousand employees, it builds across commercial, healthcare, industrial, and renewable-energy markets, and is general contractor on Seattle’s Northlake Commons mass-timber project. Swinerton launched Timberlab to fabricate and install mass-timber structures, betting early on engineered wood as a low-carbon alternative to steel and concrete. The firm operates nationally, pairing self-perform capacity with a growing specialty in sustainable construction.
