SOCO Construction

SOCO Construction is a Bedminster, N.J., construction manager and general contractor that used to operate as Sordoni Construction. It’s 100% employee-owned through an ESOP, a structure the firm puts at the center of its pitch. SOCO works across corporate, higher education, hospitality, industrial, life science, multifamily and retail jobs, and its portfolio includes the Asbury Ocean Club, the Novartis Visitors Center and a vaccine manufacturing facility. Right now it’s building RT600, a 149-unit apartment tower at 350 Connell Drive in Berkeley Heights that topped out Oct. 28. It’s the second residential tower at The Park, The Connell Company’s $500 million rework of its former corporate campus, and it went from groundbreaking to topping out in about a year.
