Layton Construction is a national general contractor headquartered in the Salt Lake City area, founded in 1953. The firm works across healthcare, hospitality, commercial, industrial and institutional markets, delivering projects through general contracting, construction management and design-build. Layton built UCHealth’s five-story expansion at Highlands Ranch Hospital south of Denver, a roughly $119 million addition of about 340,000 square feet that added a cancer center along with stroke, cardiac and emergency capacity. Building next to and on top of a fully operating hospital, Layton logged more than 500,000 labor hours with crews across 16 trades at peak. The company has grown into one of the larger builders in the western United States, with a strong healthcare portfolio.
