Jacobsen Construction is one of the Intermountain West’s oldest and largest general contractors, founded in 1922 and headquartered in Salt Lake City. The employee-owned firm builds across commercial, healthcare, higher education, and civic work, and it served as general contractor on Astra Tower, the 40-story high-rise that became Utah’s tallest building. Jacobsen has a long record on the region’s landmark projects, from stadiums and temples to hospitals and towers, and it self-performs concrete and other core scopes. Building a 450-foot residential tower on a tight downtown Salt Lake City site put its high-rise and logistics experience to work in a market that had never seen construction at that height.
