Flintco

Flintco is one of the country’s older general contractors, founded in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1908 and still headquartered there. The firm builds across sports, healthcare, higher education and commercial work, and it knows Oklahoma City well: it built the Thunder’s current Paycom Center and the 50-story Devon Tower downtown. Flintco is now teamed with Mortenson on the $900 million Continental Coliseum, the Thunder’s next arena. Over more than a century the company has grown from a regional builder into a national contractor with offices across the South and Southwest, while keeping the self-perform capacity that lets it control schedule on complex projects.

Flintco was founded in 1908 during Oklahoma’s oil boom and adopted the Flintco name in 1972; founders C.W. and Pauline Kelley Flint were of Cherokee heritage, and those values still anchor the firm. Beyond its Tulsa origins, Flintco operates regional offices in Oklahoma City, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Denver, Memphis, and Arkansas, plus dedicated Native American and renewable-energy groups. Its work spans numerous market sectors, including aviation, advanced industries, justice, K-12 education, parking, and renewable energy. Services run from preconstruction and construction to self-perform trades and real estate services and investments. Flintco ranked among ENR’s Top 400 contractors in 2024.
