EverOn Data Center Services

EverOn Data Center Services is an Atlanta-based general contractor working exclusively in mission-critical data center construction. The company was formerly T5 Construction, the in-house building arm of data center developer T5, and it separated from its parent to operate independently on September 1, 2026. The rationale was in the revenue mix: the company reports that 83% of its 2025 work came from third-party clients rather than its own parent. It reports growth from $87 million in revenue in 2021 to roughly $1.7 billion in 2025, and debuted on ENR’s Top 400 Contractors list at No. 80 with $1.67 billion in 2025 construction revenue. The firm cites more than 260 completed projects and over 12 million square feet of data center space delivered, and employs more than 850 people.

What EverOn brings out of T5 is a specific technical profile rather than a general contracting resume. The company works on direct liquid cooling and high-density AI infrastructure, and it builds inside live, energized mission-critical environments, which is a narrower skill than ground-up campus work and a harder one to staff for.

Its client base splits across hyperscale, colocation, developer, enterprise and AI operators, and the delivery scope covers ground-up campuses, data hall fit-outs, retrofits and upgrades under a nationally licensed general contracting model.

Tom Mertz, previously COO and President of T5 Services, leads the company as President and CEO. He has been quoted in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Atlanta’s emergence as the largest data center construction market in the United States, which is a useful bit of context for where the company sits: it is headquartered in the market absorbing the most of this work.

The separation was not a clean break from the operations side. In the same transaction T5 Operations agreed to join Salute, and the two firms continue as strategic partners across construction and operations. For an owner, that means the build team retains a line back into how the asset actually runs once it is commissioned, which is the argument EverOn makes for itself against a conventional general contractor.
