Edifice is a commercial general contractor based in Charlotte, North Carolina, serving the Carolinas and the broader Southeast since 1977. The firm builds across healthcare, commercial, industrial, multifamily and institutional markets, and is known regionally for negotiated work and long client relationships. In 2026 Edifice partnered with national builder Barton Malow to construct Roper St. Francis Healthcare’s $1.2 billion hospital campus in North Charleston, South Carolina. Edifice emphasizes preconstruction services and self-performed concrete, and remains one of the larger contractors headquartered in the Charlotte region.
