Benchmark Building Group

Benchmark Building Group is a General Contractor serving Commercial Construction and Residential Construction clients in Central Florida.

Established 2010, and over 300 completed projects since — a commercial general contractor rather than a mixed residential and commercial builder, despite how the category reads.

The work is almost entirely interiors and conversions, and the technical content is what distinguishes it. Benchmark cites build-outs involving medical gas lines, industrial-grade kitchen ventilation and Class A office fit-out. Each of those is a separate inspection regime. Healthcare space adds another: the firm describes working within AHCA-regulated requirements, Florida’s agency for healthcare administration, which governs medical facility construction and is the step that catches contractors new to the sector.

Six build types carry the business: tenant build-outs and tenant improvements, restaurant and commercial kitchen construction, medical office build-outs, hospitality renovations, office renovations and corporate interiors, and design-build. Ground-up new construction and pre-construction consulting sit alongside. The services page adds structural capability — renovations and structural additions, tilt-wall and steel frame construction, structural retrofitting, and facade and exterior improvements. Tilt-wall in particular is a different trade problem from an interior fit-out, and a contractor doing both can take a shell-and-interior package as one contract.

Geography splits into two rings. Close in: Orlando, Winter Park, Maitland, Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, Longwood, Lake Nona and Winter Garden. Across the state: Tampa, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, Ocala, St. Augustine, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Tallahassee. Published project locations bear that out, with work in Orlando, Jacksonville, Brandon, Longwood and Sebring.

Named clients on the firm’s own pages run from national brands to single-site operators — a vacation club, a cookie franchise, an inn. Those are the company’s claims rather than independently confirmed, but the mix matches the project list: a restaurant build-out on Sand Lake Road, tenant build-outs in Jacksonville and Brandon, a fitness studio in Longwood.

The office is at 2721 Forsyth Rd, Suite 452, Winter Park, with the firm branding around Orlando and working as a Florida-licensed commercial general contractor. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, on 407-796-2706.
