Urmston Carpets

Welcome to Urmston Carpets! We are the largest independently owned carpet and flooring discount store in the Manchester area. We are located just off the M60, a couple of minutes from the Trafford Centre.

Trading since 2004 from 35-39 Flixton Road, Urmston Carpets runs a two-floor flooring superstore rather than a fitting service with a shopfront attached, and that distinction matters.

The buying model is built on surplus stock, clearance ranges and roll ends, which is how heavy domestic twists and deep-pile saxonies land at prices starting around 3.99 pounds per square metre. The floor stocks carpets, vinyls and laminate together, with free customer parking at the front and the store open seven days.

Services include a free measuring service, samples brought to the home, carpet fitting and installation, underlay and accessories, laminate and LVT fitting, vinyl installation, and uplift and removal of old carpet. Fitting and delivery are free within 30 kilometres of M41 5AW, with a fuel surcharge applied between 30 and 100 kilometres.

One thing to understand before booking. The company’s own terms state that it does not carry out fitting directly. Free fitting is a discount applied to the order, and the installation itself is arranged through independent fitters. That is a normal arrangement in the trade, but it is worth knowing who you are contracting with. A twelve-month guarantee covers fitting work.

Commercial enquiries are handled alongside domestic, covering hotels and hospitality, restaurants, pubs, churches, offices and schools. The team’s combined experience is put at more than a hundred years.

Coverage is Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and the North West generally. A mattress and bed outlet operates under the same roof. Phone 0161 746 8844.
