Fabick Cat

John Fabick Sr. started the business in 1917, and John Fabick Tractor Company grew into the Caterpillar dealer for parts of Missouri and Illinois, all of Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Headquartered in Fenton, Missouri, Fabick Cat sells, rents and services Cat machines for construction, paving, quarry, demolition, forestry and agriculture, and it handles Cat power systems, generators and marine engines. It runs 37 locations and has been reported at more than 1,200 employees. A century of family ownership is ending: Caterpillar agreed in late September 2026 to buy the dealership itself, and customers are watching what happens to parts availability, rental fleet depth and technician headcount.
