RailPros

RailPros is an Irving, Texas, rail engineering and services firm founded in 2000. It works for freight railroads and transit and commuter agencies, offering engineering, project and program management, construction management, flagging and safety services, plus training and media production. The company says it’s serving customers in all 50 states and Mexico from 16 offices, including Philadelphia, Chicago, Seattle and Pomona, Calif. Its latest California assignment’s been a long time coming. RailPros is on the progressive design-build team for SMART’s Healdsburg extension in Sonoma County, where the Stacy and Witbeck/Herzog joint venture won a $190.5 million construction contract Oct. 21. The line would bring passenger trains back to Healdsburg for the first time in nearly 70 years.
