Passero Associates

Passero Associates is an architecture and engineering firm founded in Rochester, New York in 1972, with more than 180 professionals across nine offices in New York, Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, Georgia and Vermont. The practice combines architecture with civil, structural and transportation engineering, along with survey, traffic engineering, planning, program management and construction observation, which lets it carry aviation projects from master planning through construction administration without handing off between firms. Aviation is a defining market for the firm. Passero is the architect and engineer on the Gold Lot package at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, the first phase of the airport’s $1.6 billion CLEvolution terminal modernization program, which broke ground in late October 2025.

Federal work sits behind a layer of registration detail that most directory listings skip, and Passero maintains two separate corporate entities to handle it. Passero Associates, LLC, headquartered in St. Augustine, carries CAGE code 6P9C6 and DUNS 841656643. Passero Associates Engineering, Architecture and Surveying, DPC, headquartered in Rochester, carries CAGE code 6CB10 and DUNS 073667743. Both hold Small Business Designations. Registered PSC codes cover airport terminals, runways and taxiways, airport service roads, highways and bridges, parking facilities and office buildings.

Federal past performance cited by the firm includes NAVFAC boat ramps in the Caribbean Islands, U.S. Customs work, a VA campus and a marina.

Aviation is the practice the rest of the firm is organised around. Passero puts its airport development experience at more than 50 years and more than 60 airports, and one of its nine offices is physically located at Burlington International Airport in South Burlington, Vermont.

Recent named work gives a fair picture of the range: the Greece Community and Senior Center in Greece, New York; Signet Hangar #1 at Dayton International Airport in Vandalia, Ohio; Center City Courtyard Housing in Rochester; and the Taxiway B rehabilitation at Lake City Gateway Airport in Florida. Community buildings and airfield pavement in the same portfolio is unusual, and it is a direct consequence of keeping architecture and civil engineering under one roof.

The firm commits at least ten percent of annual profits back into the communities where it works. Its stated values are a passion for excellence, integrity, servant leadership, one firm, and work/life balance.
