Everus Construction Group

Everus Construction Group is a specialty contractor headquartered at 1730 Burnt Boat Drive in Bismarck, North Dakota, and listed on the NYSE as ECG after its spin-off from MDU Resources. It runs two businesses: electrical and mechanical construction and maintenance, covering wiring, fire suppression and mechanical piping across 28 cities in 13 states, and transmission and distribution work across 19 cities in 11 states. The company employed roughly 9,400 people at the end of 2025. In September 2026 it closed a $295 million all-cash acquisition of Epsilon Industries, a manufacturer of modular mechanical and electrical building infrastructure, aimed at data center, advanced manufacturing and healthcare work. Everus crews built the electrical scope at the Las Vegas Sphere.

The figures Everus puts on its own About page for 2025 give the shape of the business: more than 20,000 projects worked, over 7,000 employees at peak construction, and around $2 billion in revenue. Peak headcount is the number that matters in specialty contracting, and it is roughly double the year-end figure, which tells you how much of the work is seasonal or campaign-driven.

Safety is the company’s stated first priority and it publishes what that means rather than leaving it as a slogan. Everus says it holds injury and illness rates below the national Bureau of Labor Statistics averages for its industries, that it was a founding member of the OSHA Electrical Transmission and Distribution Partnership, that it participates in OSHA Voluntary Protection Programs, and that it runs regular safety weeks and stand-ups.

The Electrical and Mechanical segment is broader than the name suggests. Its published service pages cover electrical construction, mechanical, packaged controls and manufacturing, low-voltage, industrial, renewable energy, fire protection, modular offsite manufacturing, and a dedicated data centre practice. End markets are listed as commercial work in entertainment, hospitality and data centres; industrial work in high-tech manufacturing and refineries; institutional work in government, healthcare and education; plus renewables, fire suppression, mechanical piping and ongoing service contracts.

Transmission and Distribution is the utility-facing half: transmission lines, substations, excavation and underground, signals and lighting, telecommunication, and storm recovery, together with equipment rental, sales and manufacturing. Street lighting and traffic signalisation sit here rather than under electrical, which is a useful distinction for a municipality trying to work out who to call.

The corporate structure is worth understanding before contacting them. Everus goes to market through a set of wholly owned operating companies under local brands rather than as a single national contractor, and it maintains a network of prefabrication facilities to feed local project sites. The stated values are integrity, safety, respect and teamwork. Corporate office is at Bismarck, North Dakota, on 701-221-6400, and the company runs the Everus Foundation alongside the operating business.
