Fence Builder Boston

Fence company in Watertown installing and repairing wood, vinyl, aluminum, and chain link fences and gates for homes and businesses across Greater Boston.

The shop works out of 586 Pleasant St, Suite 3 in Watertown, which sits in the middle of its service area and borders Boston, Cambridge, Belmont, Newton and Waltham. Within Boston itself the crew works in West Roxbury, Roslindale, Jamaica Plain, Dorchester and Brighton, and the wider list runs to Brookline, Waltham and Lexington.

Four materials cover the catalogue. Wood means cedar and pressure-treated privacy, picket, board-on-board and split rail. Vinyl is fence-grade with UV protection, in privacy, semi-privacy, picket and pool styles. Aluminum is powder-coated ornamental fencing for front yards, pools and commercial entries. Chain link comes galvanized or black vinyl-coated, for yards, pets, sports areas and security runs. Gates follow the same split: walk gates, double drive gates, pool gates and commercial sliding gates.

The local conditions get designed around rather than worked around. Lots in these towns are often narrow, property lines run tight against the neighbours, a lot of the housing stock is more than a century old, and every winter brings frost, snow and road salt. Those conditions decide how deep the posts go and which side of the fence faces the street. Posts are set for a 48-inch code frost depth, footings are built to drain, and hardware is rated for outdoor exposure.

Repair is treated as a real alternative to replacement. Leaning posts, broken boards, storm damage, cracked vinyl and bent chain link are all handled as repair work, and the company states plainly that it will say when a repair makes more sense than a new fence.

Residential work covers single-family homes, two-families and the triple-deckers common across these neighbourhoods, with privacy, pet, pool and decorative fencing. Commercial work covers security, perimeter and enclosure fencing for businesses and property managers.

Every project starts with a free on-site visit: the property is measured, the fence line is walked, the grade and access are looked at, and a written quote follows with style, footage, gates and timeline set out. Before digging, the property line is confirmed, the town’s fence rules are checked and Dig Safe markings are requested.
