IVIS Construction has worked Alberta’s underground infrastructure since 1996 and was among the early adopters of cured-in-place pipe in the province. That decision shaped the company: CIPP rehabilitates a deteriorated pipeline from the inside, so a failing sanitary main under a parking lot or a road can be relined without trenching it open.

The trenchless side now covers CIPP and pipe bursting across sanitary and stormwater mains, potable water lines and manholes throughout Western Canada. Alongside it sits the diagnostic work that has to come first – standardized closed-circuit television assessment of main and lateral pipelines from three-quarter-inch internal diameter up to 72 inches, and detailed condition assessments that decide whether a line gets relined, replaced or left alone.

Cleaning is its own capability. High-pressure flushing, also called hydro flushing, handles 1-inch through 72-inch pipe, with mechanical snaking for the cases where water alone will not shift the blockage. The typical culprits the company names are sludge, grease and root intrusion.

A large fleet of VAC-CON combo units supports hydro excavation, and secondary utility locating is offered ahead of any renovation, utility repair or new construction dig.

Mechanical plumbing rounds out the list – boiler repair and gas line installation and repair, on both service lines and primary mechanical systems.

The client mix is unusually broad for one contractor: residential homeowners with a blocked or damaged sewer line, and engineers specifying large-scale municipal and industrial rehabilitation, are served by the same company. Commercial and municipal work sits between them – flooded parking lots, blocked catch basins, floor drain failures.
