Timberlab

Timberlab is a mass-timber specialty contractor launched in 2020 and based in Portland, Oregon, spun out of general contractor Swinerton. The company designs, fabricates, and installs cross-laminated timber and glulam structures, and supplied the mass-timber system for Seattle’s 275,000-square-foot Northlake Commons. Timberlab runs its own fabrication and takes engineered-wood packages from modeling through erection, a vertically integrated approach meant to make timber cost-competitive with steel. It works with developers and contractors across the country as demand for low-carbon structural systems climbs, serving large commercial and institutional projects.
