Precise Closets & Cabinetry

At Precise Closets & Cabinetry our commitment to exceptional design, quality and service is our primary goal. We proudly service our B2B partners understanding the heavy responsibility they bear in delivering the dream of their customers. Our role starts with providing the tools to design and continues with delivering superior quality products using our state-of-the-art European equipment.

Precise Closets & Cabinetry does not sell to homeowners. The Hawthorne, New Jersey plant builds components for closet organization companies, contractors, builders and designers, who carry the end-client relationship and the install. Parts ship either unassembled or assembled, so an installer can decide whether to absorb assembly labor or skip it.

Panel selection runs through four decorative board suppliers: Finsa’s Atlas and Textil collections, Arauco Prism, Egger, and Tafisa’s Alto, Urbania, Prelude, Karisma and Viva lines. Precise groups the colors into price tiers, with most Finsa, Arauco, Egger and Tafisa Alto/Urbania/Prelude/Karisma selections in Tier 2 and Tafisa Viva in Tier 3, which lets a dealer quote at a known material step instead of pricing each color individually. Woodgrains, solid colors and textured surfaces run across the range under names such as Roble Denver, Carini Walnut, Fineline and Brushed Alum.

Construction detail is where the spec sheet starts to matter to an installer. Drawer boxes come in Zargen, melamine and dovetail. Cabinets sit on five-inch leveling legs, which the company presents as both a moisture measure and a way to plumb boxes on uneven floors. Edge banding is color-matched to the panel and offered in hundreds of colors; the plant runs a Homag bander using adhesive-free laser edge technology, and the same European line cuts panels and bores shelf holes.

The molding catalog is published by profile number rather than described loosely. Face-mount crowns include JBC-A101, A102, A114, A140 and A141. Top-mount crowns are JBC-A112 and A130, base molding is JBC-A123, and base-scribe profiles are JBC-A103 and A115. An Artisan stocking crown is offered as a decorative top detail.

Ordering runs through an online design and quoting portal hosted on ClosetPro, which a dealer uses to lay out a job, choose colors and parts, generate a quote, get approval and release the order. Precise provides technical support on the software and assigns an in-house designer to new accounts. Quoted turnaround is two to three weeks, against the four to six weeks the company describes as the industry norm. Finished goods either ship nationwide or are collected at 69 Fifth Avenue in Hawthorne. Product lines beyond reach-in and walk-in closets include mudroom wardrobes, garage storage, home office casework and laundry room casework.
