Wold Architects and Engineers

Wold Architects and Engineers has designed for public clients since 1968. The firm’s headquartered in Minneapolis and keeps offices in Denver, suburban Chicago, three Tennessee cities, two in Indiana and Austin. It doesn’t chase every market. It sticks to education, government, healthcare and senior living, and it carries in-house engineers alongside architects and interior designers. Building Design + Construction ranked it No. 25 among A/E firms in its 2025 Giants 400. Courthouses are a specialty, and Wold teamed with Kueny Architects on Phase II of the $150 million Waukesha County Courthouse job in Wisconsin, a 151,000-square-foot gut renovation of the 1959 building. Gilbane set the final beam there on Oct. 21. Courts keep running throughout, and that’s the hard part.
