Parker Rodriguez

Parker Rodriguez is a landscape architecture, land planning and urban design firm founded in 1996 and based in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. The firm says it has about 20 professionals and support staff. Its services include landscape architecture, urban design, master planning, streetscape and trail design, park and playground design, campus grounds and LEED documentation support. Much of its portfolio is mixed-use urban work for public and private clients, along with campus and institutional projects around the country. Parker Rodriguez is landscape architect for Goodwin House Seminary Road, the 257-unit senior living towers Goodwin Living started building in Alexandria’s West End in October 2026. That plan includes an urban arboretum that’ll open to the public for scheduled visits, plus rooftop green space.

The office is at 211 North Union Street, Suite 320, in Old Town Alexandria, and ParkerRodriguez works for clients across the United States from that single location.

The service list is longer than a landscape architecture label implies, and several items are process rather than design. Alongside landscape architecture, urban design and master planning, the firm offers processing assistance, community participation, streetscape design, trail planning, corporate facility design, campus landscape design, park and playground design, and USGBC LEED processing assistance. Processing assistance and community participation are the ones worth noting for a developer: they cover the entitlement and public-meeting side of a project, where a landscape plan either survives review or gets redrawn.

Recent and portfolio work visible on the site includes Luminary at One Light in Baltimore, Modera Mosaic, Parcel 5 at The Wharf in Washington, D.C., Park Kennedy and The Mather. Taken together they describe the practice accurately: dense, mixed-use, mostly urban sites where the landscape has to work as public space rather than setback.

For a firm of roughly 20 people, that mix means the same staff tend to carry a project from concept through construction administration, which is a different working relationship than a large multidisciplinary office provides. Campus and institutional work appears alongside the mixed-use portfolio, for both public and private clients.
