Michael Graves Architecture & Design

Michael Graves Architecture & Design is a Princeton, New Jersey firm founded in 1964 by the architect whose postmodern buildings and consumer product design made him one of the best-known American designers of the late twentieth century. The practice continues as an employee-led studio working in architecture, interiors, planning and product design, with a portfolio spanning higher education, healthcare, government, hospitality, senior living and residential work. Accessible and universal design became a defining strand after Graves began using a wheelchair in 2003, and the firm has carried that into healthcare and veterans housing projects since. It is architect on the conversion of 2051 Jamieson Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia, a 147,000-square-foot office building becoming 187 apartments with four floors added on top.
