kasper architects + associates

kasper architects + associates is a Jacksonville architecture and interior design firm that Erik Kasper started in 2004 after six years at Rink Design Partnership. It runs a South Studio on Fortune Parkway near The Avenues mall and a Downtown Studio on North Ocean Street, and had about 30 people as of 2023, with a branch in Raleigh. Most of its work is commercial: offices, industrial and distribution buildings, retail, restaurants and hospitality interiors around Northeast Florida. It was on the design team for the new Museum of Science & History downtown. The firm designed Southeast Toyota Distributors’ $145 million vehicle processing center at JAXPORT’s Blount Island terminal, built by JE Dunn, which won an ENR Southeast Award of Merit in October 2026.

More than 2,500 completed projects since 2004 works out to a pace that tells you what kind of practice this is: a lot of commercial work of moderate size, delivered repeatedly for clients who come back, rather than a handful of signature buildings.

The studio is structured around one principal, four partners and eighteen associates, with designers and drafters alongside them, and ten registered architects in the group. For a client, the partner count is the useful number, because it governs how many projects can have senior attention at once.

The project list spans sectors that rarely sit together. The Jacksonville Jaguars corporate office is one. Baptist Health work includes the Ponte Vedra concierge medicine facility and a 54,000-square-foot central services center at San Marco East Plaza. Superior Construction’s 13,000-square-foot training facility in South Jacksonville covers the industrial end. Public education appears through an agriscience career and technical education project at Frank H. Peterson Academies for Duval County Public Schools.

Recognition has come through the IIDA Illuminate Design Awards, across commercial workspace large, healthcare small, and education and research categories, which is a spread rather than a single strong sector.

The two studios divide the city: the South Studio on Fortune Parkway and the Downtown Studio on North Ocean Street. The firm also runs a community program under the name KASPER CARES.
