Preferred Climate Solutions

Texas heat got you down? Preferred Climate Solutions is your go-to for 24/7 portable cooling and heating rentals, serving Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Austin and San Antonio with spot coolers, industrial AC units, dehumidifiers, HEPA carts, power fans and heaters. Owned by HVAC experts Brian and Shane McCourt with over 17 years tackling portable climate control (plus a lifetime battling Texas weather), they rush equipment to emergencies—think server racks overheating, events sweltering or construction sites needing temp climate fixes.
What makes them stand out? Lightning-fast on-site delivery/setup, easy-roll units with washable filters and standard voltage, plus massive energy savings by cooling just the problem area. From manufacturing plants to medical storage, their state-of-the-art rentals (stackable for extra power!) deliver reliable comfort without the hassle. Call (888) 466-7180 anytime—no one responds faster. Beat the heat with PCS!

Established in 2007, this is a rental operation rather than a service contractor — businesses call when they need climate control on site and do not want to own the equipment.

The fleet splits into three groups. Cooling covers spot coolers, portable and water-cooled air conditioners, evaporative coolers, event air conditioning and Power Breezer fan rentals. Heating covers electric and salamander heaters, indirect-fired heaters, industrial heaters built for oil, gas and plant work, and portable heat pumps that run both ways. Air quality covers dehumidifiers, humidifiers and air scrubbers. Brands carried include OceanAire, Portacool and Campo Heaters.

Coverage runs from the Arlington base out to Houston, Carrollton in the Dallas–Fort Worth market just off the President George Bush Turnpike, Hutto near Austin, San Antonio and Oklahoma City — nine locations in all across Texas and Oklahoma. That regional spread is the reason a spot cooler can reach a site the same day rather than the same week.

The applications list reads like a map of what goes wrong in a Texas summer: warehouse and manufacturing cooling, medical supply and lab storage, hospitals, education facilities, automotive shops, film and photography sets, commercial office spaces, and construction drying and curing. Dispatch runs 24/7 because most of those calls are not scheduled in advance.

Two questions worth asking on a rental quote: whether the unit runs on standard voltage at your site, and whether stacking multiple smaller units beats one large one for the space you actually need to cool.
