Parkview Health broke ground on its first full-service hospital in West Lafayette, planting a $200 million campus on land it bought from the Purdue Research Foundation. The site sits near North 100 West and Kalberer Road, on the growing north side of greater Lafayette.
Project Scope
The build runs to nearly 200,000 square feet and up to 40 inpatient beds, paired with a medical office building. Plans call for a 24/7 emergency department, surgical and procedural suites, lab and imaging, plus specialty and outpatient care under one roof. Parkview expects to open the doors in 2028.
Why It Matters
West Lafayette has grown fast around Purdue, but residents have had to cross the river to Lafayette for hospital-level care. A full-service campus on this side of the Wabash shortens that trip for emergencies and routine surgery alike. It also plants a health-system flag next to one of the Midwest’s biggest research universities, a bet that the area’s population keeps climbing.
