Miami Freedom Park is the mixed-use district rising around Inter Miami CF’s new stadium on the former Melreese golf course, next to Miami International Airport.
Project Scope
Designed by Arquitectonica, the development pairs the 26,700-seat Nu Stadium, which opened in April 2026, with planned office, retail, hotel and commercial space plus a large public park. The Mas family’s Miami Freedom Park LLC leads the development, which is being built out in phases around the completed stadium.
Why It Matters
Stadium districts have become a favorite vehicle for large mixed-use development, and Miami Freedom Park is one of the biggest. Anchoring commercial and retail space to a live sports venue on a constrained airport-adjacent site is a real design and logistics challenge. It’s also a marker of Miami’s continued development boom, with a stadium-led district doing what standalone office towers can’t in the current market.
