Eko Flooring & Woodwork operates from two New York City addresses – a Manhattan office at 325 W 38th Street and a Brooklyn location at 18 Division Place – and takes appointments by phone or email rather than walk-ins.

The team includes Tomasz Poznanski, described as an NWFA Certified Wood Flooring Inspector and CEU presenter who began his flooring career in 1987 and trained with the National Wood Flooring Association, Virginia Tech and Bona, and Amanda Cicarella, a project manager and NWFA-certified sales advisor who guides clients through material selection and care recommendations. The company says it is accredited by the National Wood Flooring Association, the International Certified Floor Covering Installers program, the American Society of Interior Designers, the Bona Certified Craftsman Program, the World Floor Covering Association and the National Institute of Certified Floor Covering Inspectors.

Beyond installing and refinishing existing floors, the company runs a custom design program: clients submit a sketch of a pattern – Chevron, Herringbone, Versailles or Parquet among the standard options – and the design team develops it into a pre-finished, engineered product. On-site consultations extend to a client’s general contractor or hired installer, covering subfloor preparation and proper acclimation before flooring goes down.

On sustainability, the company cites LEED points eligibility, FloorScore certification for indoor air emissions, CARB2 compliance for formaldehyde standards under California’s Air Resources Board, and Forest Stewardship Council sourcing for its wood. All adhesives and pre-finished engineered flooring are described as cured during production, which the company says means they do not emit fumes once installed.

Eko Flooring & Woodwork began as a sanding, refinishing and installation service focused on restoring worn or damaged floors before expanding into design flooring, wide-plank engineered products, and wall and ceiling wood panelling – a history the team says shaped its emphasis on inspecting and testing before recommending a product for a given project.
