Calgary Restoration

Calgary Restoration provides water-damage restoration services in Calgary, Alberta, including water extraction, drying and dehumidification, mold prevention, and repairs after floods, burst pipes and leaks.

Water loss is the service the company leads with, though its published scope reaches well past flooding.

Fire and smoke work is a separate line: soot removal, deodorization, and HVAC and duct cleaning after a structure fire. Mould remediation is broken out by where it shows up, with attic, basement and black mould each listed, and it sits next to asbestos testing, removal and abatement. That pairing matters on older Calgary housing stock, where a burst supply line in a mid-century bungalow can turn into an abatement scope before drying equipment is even set. Septic and sewer backup is treated as a contamination problem rather than a mop-up, with containment, odour removal and disinfection. Storm response covers hail, wind and fallen trees.

Past that sits a specialty tier most restoration outfits do not advertise. The firm lists drug lab remediation, grow-op remediation, and crime scene and trauma cleanup, along with vandalism remediation and commercial cleaning.

For a property manager or general contractor, the emergency scope is the part worth reading first, because it decides whether a damaged building can be secured the same night. Temporary power, controlled demolition, board-up and tarping, inventory and pack-out, and content restoration are all listed in house. The company also rents out air movers and dehumidifiers, which is useful to know for a contractor that needs drying equipment on a loss it is handling itself.

Calgary Restoration operates as a division of Koomen Contracting Ltd. from 103 Huntwell Court NE in the city’s northeast. Technicians are described as IICRC certified. The site commits to a 25-minute arrival anywhere in Calgary, around the clock, and lists 950-plus completed restoration projects and a liability insurance figure of $10 million or more among its own numbers.

Billing is set up to go straight to the carrier. The company says it handles claim documentation and bills insurers directly, and its FAQ states it works with all major insurers operating in Calgary and across Alberta, which is relevant to an owner trying to avoid fronting mitigation costs while a claim is still open.

Coverage is stated as all four Calgary quadrants plus surrounding communities in Southern Alberta, with Downtown, the Beltline, Mahogany, Tuscany, Seton and Bowness called out by name.
