SILLMAN

SILLMAN is a San Diego architecture and design-build firm that Larry Sillman founded in 1976. It works out of a Mission Valley office on Metropolitan Drive and a second office in Temecula, and its portfolio leans public: civic buildings, schools and student housing, military work, parking structures, offices and science buildings. Design-build is a big part of the practice, so its architects are used to working inside a contractor’s schedule. SILLMAN was lead designer on the $105 million renovation of the San Diego County Administration Center, the 1938 Pacific Highway landmark that stayed open while Turner Construction replaced nearly every building system and kept its WPA-era artwork intact. ENR West named it the 2026 Best Project in Renovation/Restoration.
