MLJ Contracting

MLJ Contracting is a Great Neck, N.Y., general contractor that pitches itself squarely at New York public works, the kind of jobs that have to be built around live traffic and transit. The firm says it’s 100% employee owned and carries the tag “an Iovino company” on its logo. Its site doesn’t publish a founding year or headcount. What it does have is a marquee job: MLJ is general contractor for the Dyer Avenue deck-over at the Port Authority’s $10 billion Midtown Bus Terminal replacement, working under construction manager AECOM Tishman. Crews placed the final concrete on the 3.5-acre platform over the Lincoln Tunnel approaches on Oct. 24, 2026, the program’s most visible milestone yet.
