PayAppPro helps contractors create AIA-style pay application packages commonly associated with the G702/G703 formats – without wrestling with spreadsheets, broken formulas, or last-minute formatting fixes. If you’ve ever had a pay app kicked back because totals didn’t match, retainage shifted, or backup docs weren’t organized, you already know the pain.

The affiliation disclaimer is the first thing a subcontractor should read. Morton Technologies states plainly that PayAppPro is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the American Institute of Architects, and that AIA, G702 and G703 are AIA trademarks. The product produces AIA-style output, not official AIA documents. If a general contractor’s subcontract requires forms purchased from the AIA, confirm that with them before switching.

What the software covers is the billing scope most construction accounting packages handle badly. Schedule of values tracking with carry-forward between periods. Retainage handled at project or line-item level, including variable, reduced, released and separately paid retainage — which is the detail that forces most subcontractors into spreadsheets. A stored materials ledger. Approved change order tracking. Lien waiver and vendor document organization. AI quality checks run before submission, custom forms, and PDF and CSV export. A portfolio view shows projects and amounts due across jobs.

Integrations are listed rather than promised: QuickBooks Online, DailyLogsPro, Acumatica ERP, NetSuite, Sage, Procore and Buildertrend, with custom development available. That span — small-business accounting through two mid-market ERPs through two construction platforms — means the product is positioned to sit beside whatever a company already runs, not replace it.

Pricing is published, which is uncommon in construction software and makes evaluation quick. A one-time pay app package starts at $7.99, with monthly SMB, TEAM and PRO plans above it. The company states no sales call is required, and offers a free 20-minute walkthrough over Zoom for anyone who wants one.

The positioning is explicit: a lower-overhead alternative to a full ERP or construction management suite, aimed at contractors and subcontractors, with smaller and busy subcontractors named specifically. For a sub billing three or four jobs a month who does not need a project management platform, that is the relevant comparison.

The developer is Morton Technologies LLC, with a footer location in Canton, Michigan. Founding year, team size and formal service area are not published, and there are no certifications to check. Since the product is a vehicle for payment documentation, the practical test is a single pay period run in parallel against your current process before cutting over.
