Pro Site Company

Preparing a site for construction involves more than moving dirt. In Glenwood, IA, projects often start with tree removal, selective demolition, and careful hauling to open safe access. Selecting an excavating company in Glenwood requires attention to utility locates, access routes, and soil conditions, since clay-heavy ground can affect trench stability and drainage. A land grading company typically evaluates slopes and runoff paths before shaping terraces or compacting fills, helping reduce erosion and standing water. On rural and edge-of-town lots, crews may install drainage tubes to route water away from structures and drive surfaces. Forester mulching can clear brush while leaving organic material to help control erosion until seeding is placed. Crews return to fine-grade after heavy work and establish seeding and erosion control to stabilize disturbed areas. Pro Site Company coordinates these steps so schedules align, equipment suits the task, and the site is ready for concrete, utilities, or final landscaping. In Mills County, that coordination can shorten downtime between trades and limit weather delays.

Pro Site Company works from 313 Louise Avenue in Glenwood and describes Council Bluffs as its primary market, with Pacific Junction also inside its working radius.

The service list is short and it holds together as a sequence rather than a menu. Excavating and heavy-duty hauling open the site; land grading shapes it; seeding closes it out. Concrete pouring and driveway installation cover the flatwork in between, including stamped concrete for decorative surfaces.

That sequencing is the argument for a single-crew site contractor on smaller jobs. A driveway poured on ground that was never properly graded or compacted will crack regardless of the mix, and when the grading and the pour come from different companies the responsibility for that outcome gets contested. Here both sit with one firm.

Two retaining options are listed separately, and the distinction is worth understanding before requesting a quote. A natural boulder wall uses large stone set into the slope, which reads as landscape and drains freely through the voids between rocks. A built retaining wall — block, timber or poured — takes a more engineered approach and depends on drainage stone and weeps behind the face to relieve hydrostatic pressure. They solve the same grade change at different cost points and with different footprints, and the right answer usually comes down to how much room exists behind the wall.

The company also lists a high-grade concrete blend and custom design work on its residential and commercial jobs.
