Prickel Electric & Telecom

Prickel Electric & Telecom is a women-owned electrical and telecommunications contractor based in Verona, Kentucky, working across commercial, industrial and institutional projects in Kentucky, Ohio and North Carolina. The firm combines electrical contracting with structured cabling and telecom work, a pairing that shows up more often as building systems converge on low-voltage infrastructure. Prickel is a named customer of Trayd, the New York construction finance platform that launched an accounting product on 24 September 2026 extending its field-payroll tool into job costing, work-in-progress reporting and AIA billing. Contractors of Prickel’s size are where the payroll-to-accounting gap is widest, because certified payroll across multiple states and the job-cost ledger typically live in separate systems and get reconciled by hand.

The published service list shows where the electrical and telecom halves of this business actually meet.

On the telecom side Prickel builds towers and installs the equipment that goes on and around them: coax and antenna runs, BTS cabinets, generators and automatic transfer switches. On the commercial side it wires buildings and installs light poles. Running underneath both is a civil capability that most electrical contractors subcontract out — trenching and excavation, concrete construction and underground utility locating.

That combination is the operational point. A tower site or a parking lot lighting job is mostly dirt, conduit and concrete with electrical termination at the end, and a contractor that self-performs the trenching and the bases controls its own schedule instead of waiting on someone else’s crew. The company also lists warehousing and procurement, which is how a contractor working across three states keeps material staged rather than ordering per job.

Prickel Electric LLC operates from 14112 Walton Verona Road in Verona, Kentucky, and is licensed in Kentucky, Ohio and North Carolina. It is certified through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, which matters on public and corporate work carrying supplier-diversity participation targets — a WBENC certificate lets a general contractor count the subcontract toward those goals, and it is a reason a firm of this size wins scope on larger programmes.

The company states pride and integrity as its stated values and lists safety and quality as its operating focus.
