Goode Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc.

Warm, humid weather and sudden storms can strain cooling equipment, so homes and small businesses often plan seasonal service to avoid breakdowns. Routine maintenance, filter changes, and coil cleaning help keep HVAC in Humble operating efficiently through long cooling seasons. When a system quits on a sweltering afternoon, emergency AC repair in Humble typically starts with checking airflow, a tripped breaker, a failed capacitor, or a clogged drain line that shut off the unit. Technicians may also inspect refrigerant levels and thermostat settings to confirm the root cause. For AC repair that holds, accurate diagnosis matters; addressing airflow restrictions or electrical issues can prevent repeat failures and lower energy use. Based in Humble, TX, Goode Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc. services central air systems, ductless mini-splits, furnaces, and indoor air quality components. Whether it’s a quick fix or a more involved part replacement, clear communication about options, timelines, and upkeep helps owners decide the best next step for reliable comfort.Services: HVAC

Kenneth and Linda Goode opened this shop in May 1976. Three generations of the family now run it from 219 Derrick Dr in Humble, under Texas licence TACLA1329C — a span that covers the entire build-out of the Lake Houston suburbs the company services today.

The operating model has a few specifics that separate it from the volume HVAC outfits working the same territory. Goode does not subcontract: every technician who walks into a customer’s house is a direct employee who has cleared a national background check. Several team members are past the fifteen-year mark with the company. Billing is flat-rate rather than hourly, so a job that runs long does not change the number on the quote.

On the design side, the company performs Manual J load calculations and Manual D duct sizing rather than matching a replacement to whatever tonnage was there before — the difference that usually explains why a correctly sized system in a Kingwood or Atascocita house runs quieter and dehumidifies better than an oversized one. Goode has held certified American Standard Customer Care Dealer status continuously since 2003, and also handles duct cleaning, indoor air quality equipment, and buyer and seller HVAC inspections for real estate transactions.

Warranty terms are split by work type: two years of labor coverage on a new installation, one year of parts and labor on a repair, and a workmanship guarantee across the board. Membership in The Goode Plan adds inspections measured against manufacturer specifications and one free service call during the year when it accompanies a repair.

Territory runs through Humble, Atascocita, Kingwood, Huffman, New Caney, Porter, Crosby, Spring, Summerwood, Fall Creek, Eagle Springs and Walden on Lake Houston, with after-hours emergency response.

One limitation to know in advance: Goode services ductless mini-splits only where it performed the original installation, so a homeowner who inherited a mini-split from a previous contractor should ask before booking. Also note the company’s About page lives at /about-us/ — the shorter /about/ URL returns an error.
