Rooval Roofing

Rooval Roofing is a family-owned residential roofing company based in Lehi, Utah, serving homeowners throughout Utah County and the Salt Lake Valley. Led by founders Matthew and Agustina Thompson, the company combines more than a decade of construction experience with a commitment to honest communication, dependable workmanship, and long-term customer relationships. Rooval Roofing provides roof repairs, roof replacements, storm restoration, roof inspections, metal roofing, flat and TPO roofing, roof tune-ups, and gutter services. Every project is completed by a team focused on professionalism, reliability, and protecting the homes and communities they serve.

The name is a contraction of roof removal, which is a fair summary of how Matthew and Agustina Thompson think about the work. They run the company as a two-person operation, the same two people from the first call through to the final invoice, and hold Utah general contractor licence 13861046-5501. Around 55 roofs have been completed to date.

What separates the inspection from a quick look at the shingles is that it runs eight documented steps. A walk of the property with photographs of all four elevations, documentation of the roofline and gutters, slope-by-slope images with damage chalked in, a count of every penetration through the roof (pipes, vents, skylights, chimneys, antennas, solar mounts, deicing cables), and an attic inspection for moisture, daylight and ventilation. The homeowner is then walked through the photographs.

Two steps after that are unusual enough to name. A physical shingle sample is pulled and tested to establish whether the existing product line can still be matched, which determines whether a proper repair is even possible. Then an actual test repair is attempted before replacement is recommended. If the test holds, the answer may be a small repair rather than a new roof.

No deposit is required to get a quote, and quotes are written, itemised and fixed before work begins. Work is carried out by the company’s own crew rather than subcontracted. Financing runs from twelve months same-as-cash through to home equity lines with terms up to thirty years, and referrals earn a fifty dollar credit.

Storm damage is documented with dated photographs and a written assessment handed to the homeowner, who then decides whether to involve an insurer. That is a deliberate contrast with the out-of-state crews that arrive after a hailstorm. The Thompsons also run a sister business, Rooval Deck and Beam Builders.
