Art of Air

Project timing for cooling work often starts with a survey of panel capacity, line-set paths, and airflow goals for each room, which helps prevent short cycling and uneven temperatures. During ac installation, crews typically set a stable pad, verify refrigerant charge and airflow, and align the thermostat schedule with expected occupancy. In neighborhoods that face strong sun and afternoon winds, shading and clear condenser clearance can improve long-term performance. When systems age or show errors, ac repair may involve testing capacitors and contactors, inspecting blower assemblies, or updating a failed control board and sensors to restore proper staging. Regular filter changes and coil cleaning can stretch the life of equipment and reduce noise from strain. In Phelan, CA, it’s also common to check duct sealing and attic insulation so the system isn’t oversized to make up for losses. Art of Air provides practical insight on scheduling, site preparation, and maintenance planning for homes and small businesses, including projects in Victorville.

Art of Air was incorporated on 14 February 2025 and is owned by Ryan Smith, who handles both sales and technical service. On a company this new, the person quoting the job is the person doing it. The Better Business Bureau accredited the business in September 2025 and rates it A minus.

The service map runs well beyond Phelan. The company lists Victorville, Hesperia and Apple Valley in the high desert, and drops down into the Inland Empire for Riverside, Ontario, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga and Corona. Those are two different climates and two different sets of equipment problems, separated by the Cajon Pass.

Technicians are trained on Mitsubishi and Carrier equipment and also work on Day & Night, Samsung and York systems. The Mitsubishi training matters for a specific reason: ductless mini-splits are a common answer in desert houses with additions, converted garages, or rooms the original ducting never reached properly, and mini-split work is its own skill.

Installation covers air conditioning, heat pumps and furnaces. Repair covers all three plus ductless systems. Maintenance is recommended twice a year here rather than annually, on the reasoning that desert summers and cold nights work a system harder in both directions than a milder climate does.

There is commercial work as well, which is unusual for a company at this stage: warehouse filtration, exhaust fan service, and building automation and controls.

Estimates are free. Labour is backed for a year on top of whatever parts warranty the manufacturer provides, and veterans are offered ten percent off.
