Target Hospitality

Target Hospitality builds, owns and operates modular workforce communities, and is headquartered at 9320 Lakeside Boulevard in The Woodlands, Texas. Founded in 1978 and listed on Nasdaq as TH, it runs a network of 31 sites with more than 16,000 rooms across the United States and Alberta, employing roughly 900 people. The business grew out of the Permian oilfield and now serves data center construction: in August 2026 the company signed a multi-year agreement to house about 1,100 workers building a hyperscaler’s West Texas data center, a contract it expects to generate roughly $250 million through August 2030. Its scope covers accommodations, catering, housekeeping, security and community management rather than housing alone.

What the lodge network actually involves, in the company’s own description, is closer to running a small town than letting rooms. Housekeeping and maintenance crews clean and inspect the common areas every day, mudrooms, recreation rooms and the dining room among them, with a mid-week tidy of guest rooms and a full clean once a week. Laundry is treated as a hygiene function rather than an amenity: commercial laundry is synced to the janitorial and maintenance schedules, and personal laundry systems with complimentary detergent are available to guests throughout the network.

Security runs from the perimeter in. Target lists steel-gated fencing and keyless entry-control systems alongside trained security staff, and it handles transportation as its own line of business, moving crews between where they live and where the work is, on the argument that the distance between the two is often what decides whether a contractor can recruit and keep qualified people. Supply chain management, inventory and procurement sit under the same roof.

Those same services are sold into facilities the company does not own. A client with its own camp or office can buy the janitorial, maintenance, housekeeping and laundry programme without buying the rooms, which is a useful distinction for an operator weighing whether to outsource the running of an asset it has already built.

The mission language is unusually blunt about the reasoning. The company argues that well-fed, well-rested people working in clean, safe environments show up in the bottom line, and it frames its guests as high-performing athletes who need rest and recovery to do heavy work well. Core values are listed as safety, care, excellence, integrity and collaboration.

Markets served are grouped as mission critical, energy and natural resources, infrastructure, and business and industry, which covers everything from retail and fulfilment centres to science hubs and higher education. The corporate office is at 9320 Lakeside Boulevard, Suite 300, The Woodlands, Texas 77381, and the company runs a guest app for the network.
