SwingPoint Development

SwingPoint Development is a small Portland, Maine development firm working on hospitality and adaptive reuse projects in the city’s downtown. Its current and most visible job is the conversion of the Fidelity Trust Building at 465 Congress Street, a nine-story 1910 tower that was Maine’s first skyscraper, into an independent upscale hotel. SwingPoint is developing it alongside Fathom Companies, the operator behind The Press Hotel, on a project valued at more than $30 million and targeted for a 2027 opening. The building fronts Monument Square and its restoration is tied to the square’s broader revitalization. The firm publishes little about itself beyond contact details, and its website remains under construction, so scale, founding date and full project history are not publicly documented. Contact is through Sam Reiche at the Portland office.
