MSC Enterprises, Inc.

In Kansas City, MO, many homes benefit from updates that respect existing architecture while improving daily function. For families planning kitchen remodeling in Leawood, KS, early layout studies help balance traffic flow, storage, and appliance placement so cooking, dining, and gathering all work together. Coordinating these plans with the rest of the home avoids surprises when walls move or utilities shift. Homeowners considering primary suite remodeling in Prairie Village, KS often start with questions about privacy, closet organization, and a quiet place to unwind; planning for lighting, ventilation, and an efficient bath layout can shape the entire design. Structural checks, electrical capacity, and HVAC routing should be reviewed across rooms when projects overlap. With basement finishing in Mission Hills, KS, moisture control, egress requirements, and ceiling height guide the plan for living areas, guest rooms, or exercise spaces. MSC Enterprises, Inc. brings drafting and construction together so schedules, inspections, and site logistics align from design through the last walkthrough.

Mark Cornell started MSC Enterprises in 2002. A Kansas City native with more than forty years in construction, he came up through painting in the 1980s, moved into general construction, and settled on remodeling. His youngest child, Austin, took over as president in 2018 while Mark stepped back — though both still work the business from first contact and bid through material selection, daily job supervision and final punch. Austin hopes his two daughters carry it on.

The trade association side is unusually deep for a firm this size. MSC is a member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry’s Kansas City chapter, where Austin served at every level of the board and finished a seven-year run as board president in 2017. The company is also active in Remodelers Advantage, a peer group focused on remodeling business practice.

Work is grouped into kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, primary suite remodeling, basement remodeling, home additions and whole-house renovation. Published pricing guidance exists for kitchen and bathroom remodels, which is rare enough in this trade to be worth knowing before you call.

The intake process tells you where the firm sits in the market. Its enquiry form asks how long you have lived in the home, what year it was built, whether you are already working with an architect or designer, whether you are just beginning or have plans ready for pricing, your desired construction start window, and an estimated investment band that begins at $75,000-$125,000 and runs past $200,001.
